These Head Coaches and Team Managers were appointed as from 1 Feb 2010 to lead our 2010 IRB Junior World Championship in Argentina and 2010 Pacific Rugby Cup Tournament in May campaigns.

Otenili Tuipulotu (and his team) take over from John Edwards who led the successful Under 20 campaign in Japan whereby Tonga Under 20 finished 10 this year’s Championship in Argentina.

Feleti Mahoni (and his team) the successful coach of Fasi Maufanga RFC takes over from Liueli Fusimalohi as Head Coach of the Tautahi for 2010 and Siaosi Atiola (and his team) the successful coach of the Toloa Old Boys RFC takes over from Fuka Kitekei’aho for 2010.

Those appointed have a wealth of experience in coaching and management and the Union anticipates their coaching qualities, skills, experiences and leadership will instill a winning team culture that will build on the successful performances of last year to achieve higher accolades in 2010.

More than twenty applications were received for the vacant posts of Head Coaches and Management within the Union, following the interviews conducted on 27 Jan 2010 by a combined IRB and TRFU panel the TRFU is pleased to announce the following appointments for our Age Grade Rugby and Pacific Rugby Cup Teams in 2010:
