Fiji teams battle it out for the PRC title.
It truly is a battle of Fiji as 2 teams from this rugby crazy nation battle out to be the 2010 PRC champion.
Pride, prestige, passion and possession will be the words that sum up the battle of Fiji in the PRC final for 2010.
Over the past 3 weeks gruelling matches have whittled it down to the best 2, they are the Fiji Barbarians and the Fiji Warriors. History has already been made as never before has one nation supplied both finalists in the hotly contested PRC.
The scribes will add more new history tomorrow, with either winner it will be more firsts for the record books. No team has ever won the title 2 years in a row and if the Warriors come out on top, then they will be the fitting owners of this milestone. If the Barbarians win it will be the first time they have lifted the trophy, either way it is looking pretty good for the land of the Flying Fijians.
Teams had their captains run on the Suva National Stadium and the mood seems quiet and focused. Normally the finals surface a lot of nerve, but today both squads looked comfortable and in the zone for goodness tomorrow.
Both squads have been a little disrupted with players being out of action preparing for the test match against Australia next week. This is quite some luxury for the Fiji selectors as they have had the chance to view the top 60 players in Fiji of late, as well as getting to observe them in intensive matches like this final.
We interviewed both captains and please click on the video link below to hear their thoughts.
The match kicks off at 3PM today (Saturday 29th- Fijitime). The weather is clear, skies are blue and it looks like a scorching hot day in the capital for the prime event.
Live match scores will also be on this site, as will images of the action, celebrations and in depth sideline reports so you can taste the match.
